Athletic Trainers      

The Certified Athletic Trainer, or ATC, is a highly educated and skilled health care professional.  Athletic trainers have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training.  Not only are they well versed in the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of sports related injuries, but also serve as an integral part of the health care profession for the general public. 
Athletic trainers are proficient in several areas of study, including therapeutic rehabilitation, human anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology, nutrition, biomechanics, kinesiology, psychology and counseling, therapeutic modalities, as well as strengthening and condition.  Athletic trainers sit for a national certification exam governed by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification.
Our ATC's have almost 20 years experience in Sports Medicine and rehabilitation protocols.

                   Sabrina Segarra, M.S., with an undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine and two Graduate degrees in Exercise Physiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation, assists patients with advice on nutrition, exercise, and rehabilitation protocols.
